As the 2024 NFL Draft draws ever closer, there’s still a real question where former Notre Dame Football star Audric Estime is going to get drafted. There was a time when it looked like he might find a way to drop out of the draft altogether after he ran one of the worst 40-times by a running back in over a decade.

However, when Estime did his Pro Day in South Bend, he posted a better 40-time and the rehabilitation tour officially began. More and more analysts started to notice that while he might not be the fastest back in the draft he offers something else. Something that even had ESPN personality Mina Kimes talking about she “can’t quit” the star running back.

Earlier this week, Austime made his own case. The former Notre Dame Football superstar made a brief appearance on Up&Adams, the daily show on X where former NFL Network personality Kay Adams talks with the biggest personalities of the day. In that appearance, he made it clear why he’s someone an NFL team should take a flyer on, earlier than some scouts have predicted him to go.

“I like to run. I'm a ferocious runner,” he told Adams after being asked to describe his style. “I definitely run like I got bills to pay, but it's a physical game out there. But I pride myself on being able to do it all, be a physical back and, be a back, to make a miss, go over you, or be the home run hitter.”

Audric Estime just, in a nutshell, described what more analysts are starting to see as they take a longer look at him. He’s someone who has the speed to get away from people at times.

But where his value really lies in that he doesn’t have to run away. He’s not juking and jiving to get the yards. He’ll put his head down and run the opponent over if that’s what it takes.

“I'm a big guy. I work out a lot. I guess the physical power comes with that,” he added.

And that’s why the ex-Notre Dame Football star has a chance to surprise. Whether it’s in the 2024 NFL Draft, or when he’s finally given a chance to show what he can do, after.
