When does Notre Dame football start 2024 spring practice?

It’s almost time. Notre Dame football fans are just a couple of weeks away from getting to see some of the exciting new Fighting Irish players put on the pads for the first time. The “long” winter break between the Sun Bowl and the 2024 Notre Dame football spring practice is almost over.

There’s a lot of reasons to be quite excited for spring practice, even if it’s not clear just how much new quarterback Riley Leonard is going to participate. Even if he’s not really a full contributor in this first spring practice set, there are several other new players that will definitely be worth watching.

Right at the top of the list, are the new wide receivers that are expected to make a big impact in Kris Mitchell and Beaux Collins. There’s also some new defenders like RJ Oben who Notre Dame football fans are going to want to see in action.

Players and coaches will start to get to know each other once again as 2024 Notre Dame football spring practice officially kicks off on March 7. That is one of the earlier spring practice starts in college football as it is basically just two weeks from today.

When does Notre Dame football start 2024 spring practice?

There are two other schools that will start the spring season off on the same day as Notre Dame. According to Sports Illustrated, Arkansas and Florida will also start March 7. Other teams like LSU, USF, and Navy will start earlier in the week.

Just what the schedule will be for spring practice hasn’t been announced yet. We don’t know exactly how many days or what days the team will be practicing. All of that will be announced closer to the start.

What we do know is that everything will culminate with the Blue-Gold game on April 20.
