If you want to know how bad Riley Leonard and the Notre Dame football team want to win the national championship, just know that the star quarterback literally left it all on the field.

Not only did he march his team down the field on an incredible 18-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, but he carried the ball 9 times for 34 yards and the go-ahead score. Paired with 5 pass plays where Leonard was having to go on the run a couple of times and it was clear by the end of the drive that he was exhausted.

He was so worn out, as a matter of fact, that as he came off the field after the Notre Dame football team went up 7-0, ESPN reported that he was stumbling a bit and eventually had to throw up.

In the immortal words of Bill Bob from Varsity Blues, Riley Leonard is no doubt, doing a little Puke and Rally after calling some dinosaurs.

It appears that the Irish are indeed going to need Riley Leonard to find a way to rally quickly as the lead looks like it’s about to evaporate at the time of this writing.

So far, this National Championship Game has all the makings of a classic with both teams trading punches all the way down the field.

Of coure, for the Notre Dame football team, Leonard is a bigger piece of the team’s rushing offense. The Blue and Gold are definitely going to have to find a way to help Riley Leonard keep his feet underneath him and his stomach contents on the inside the rest of the way.
