The Notre Dame football team is sitting and waiting to see if a 51-14 win over Navy will finally convince football analysts and pollsters that they're for real. When the AP and coaches' poll comes out on Sunday, there's a chance that the irish could finally move far enough inside the Top 10 that their spot in the playoffs is very safe.
However, it's also possible for yet another week, someone will claim ND hasn't played anyone. That their schedule is too easy. That despite the fact that Marcus Freeman's team has already played three teams that were ranked at the time.
The Notre Dame football team is 3-0 against those teams. With one squad taking off since they faced off. It's possible that Texas A&M is the best statement on just how good Freeman's squad is this year.
Notre Dame football opponent shows how good they really are
To open the season, the Irish traveled to College Station and managed to overcome the Aggies, despite Riley Leonard and the offense no where near hitting their stride. The following week, they lost to Northern Illinois.
Suddenly, the win over Mike Elko's squad was diminished as A&M not being all that good and it being a season opening win. But as the season has gone on, the Aggies have won over and over. The latest win being against Top 10 team, LSU.
Whle Notre Dame football keeps winning as well. They just beat another Toip 25 team by 37 points. And now they're looking to convince pollsters that was a big victory. Here's hoping Texas A&M finally ilustrates just how good Freeman's squad really is this season.
