The Notre Dame football team dominated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon, then got to see Oregon lose badly to Utah.

Going into their matchup against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, the Notre Dame football team knew they needed to continue to stack wins. They have been playing out of their minds since the bye week, and after dominating USC, UNC, and Virginia, they would play host to the Yellow Jackets on Senior Day.

The Irish did not disappoint, dominating Georgia Tech on both sides of the ball, getting out to a 45-0 halftime lead, and cruising to a 55-0 final. That was the kind of statement win they needed against a lesser team, and later on that day, they got a lot of help from the Utah Utes.

Playing against the No. 4 team in the CFP ranking, the Utes dominated the Oregon Ducks, basically eliminating them from the conversation of being in the top-4. With help on the way, in a likely win by Ohio State against Michigan, and Georgia beating Alabama in the SEC title game, is it possible that the Irish get into the College Football Playoff for the second straight season?

My answer right now is Yes, as long as the chips fall that way.

Notre Dame football is a favorite to play in the CFP

Looking at the way they have played as of late, Notre Dame football is a favorite to make it to the College Football Playoff, and they are going to be a tough out. They can run the ball, are dominating upfront in the trenches, and their defense has played out of their minds, not allowing a touchdown in three straight games.

Notre Dame football has one more game on the slate, a road matchup against a Stanford team that has been up and down all season long. They are playing their best football of the season, and when all is said and done, an 11-1 record, and the way they have been playing should enable the Irish to sneak into the College Football Playoff.
