The College Football Playoff selection committee completely snubbed Notre Dame, and the only people who don't think that are Miami fans, because they were able to get in because of it. Since the news broke that the Fighting Irish would not get a chance to get back to the National Championship and finish what they couldn't last season, everyone has an opinion on it.
From super fans like Dick Vitale to media personalities like Joey Galloway and Nick Saban, everyone has something to say about Notre Dame not making it into the CFP. Even New England Patriots head coach Miek Vrabel is making comments about it all, but he is keeping his sights on head coach Marcus Freeman.
On Barstool Sports, Vrabel was talking about the Patriots, but he made sure to give the Fighting Irish coach the flowers he deserves.

"Marcus Freeman is an absolute stud...Notre Dame is in good hands with Marcus Freeman," Vrabel said.
Vrabel even mentioned how he has tried to hire Freeman on numerous occasions, but has never been able to lure him away from Notre Dame. It seems like Vrabel could not speak highly enough about Freeman and how great a coach he is. He even said that Notre Dame is in great hands with Freeman leading the way, and he ins't wrong.
Marcus Freeman has garnered lots of coaching buzz this season
With the coaching carousel being so crazy this season, it makes sense that a coach like Freeman would be a top name floating around. However, the Fighting Irish signed Freeman to a contract extension at the end of 2024, and he has also made it very clear he is very happy at Notre Dame.
Now, there are already a few head coaching vacancies in the NFL this season with the Tennessee Titans and the New York Giants. While Freeman is still making it clear that he doesn't have many intentions to leave Notre Dame, it makes sense that he is getting buzz for the positions.
