Former Notre Dame center Tim Grunhard knows greatness when he sees it. After all, he was a star lineman on the Fighting Irish's last national title team in 1988. He also knows he sees greatness when he looks at current ND running back Jeremiyah Love.

The two players already share an Irish brotherhood. Now, Grunhard is actively campaigning for the team he spent 11 years with in the NFL to go after the star running back. He desperately wants the Kansas City Chiefs to find a way to nab Love in the coming 2026 NFL Draft.

"Starting my campaign for the @Chiefs to draft a running back in the first round next year," Grunhard wrote on X. "@NDFootball RB Jeremiyah Love (I know Grunny's politicking for an ND guy). The Chiefs need a back, and he's the next Bijan Robinson! Let's make it happen—move up if you have to; this guy is just what they need!"

Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love has the eye of a former great for the Kansas City Chiefs

Grunhard's got a good idea. The question is how the Chiefs would have a shot at the Notre Dame star. Love is considered by many to be the most sought-after running back in the draft. Kansas City is once again considered one of the favorites to get to and/or win the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs could certainly use a running back who can catch the ball out of the backfield, but also punish defenders or run over, around or through him. The issue is that other than the Falcons with Robinson, so could just about any other team in the NFL.

Will Jeremiyah Love drop to the Kansas City Chiefs? If he does, the former Notre Dame star knows they should snap him up.
