Notre Dame made history in the 2026 NFL Draft by having not just one, but two running backs selected in the first round. Star running back Jeremiyah Love was expected to go very high in the first round and was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 3 overall pick, but Jadarian Price was also up for grabs, and it was a question as to how high he would go.
Many believed he could be a very early second-round pick, but there was still hope for a late first-round pick. Price just barely made it into the first round as the Seattle Seahawks selected him with the No. 32 pick, the final one in the first round.
Jadarian Price's emmotional reaction to being drafted is what football is all about
Price certainly was a top running back prospect, and what surprised teams most about him was the fact that he stayed at Notre Dame behind Love when he easily could have been a star elsewhere. That is a big show of character for Price, which was part of why the Seahawks chose him.
The best part of the NFL draft is seeing the reaction from players when they get the call from their new team and hearing that their dreams are coming true. Price certainly proved that the reaction is the best part as he was visibly emotional, crying tears of joy, and his family was celebrating around him.
Hard not to get emotional watching Jadarian Price get the call from the Seahawks. The tears at the beginning, the smile at the end.

This is a video that will have Notre Dame fans tearing up as well because they know firsthand how hard Price worked, and even though he, at times, was overshadowed by Love and his greatness, Price has a bright future ahead of him as well.
Price going to the Seahawks could not be a more perfect fit, as the reigning Super Bowl champs just love Kenneth Walker in free agency. Zach Charbonney will be coming off an ACL injury, so Price will get this shot at impressing the Seahawks very quickly.
