The NFL Combine is officially in the books, and now the attention will turn towards pro days and finally the NFL Draft in April. Notre Dame players had a fantastic showing at the combine, from wide receiver Malachi Field to running backs Jadarian Price and Jeremiyah Love.

No player at the combine lifted their draft stock more than Love did, as he is now considered the best player in the draft, regardless of position. However, his counterpart in South Bend, Price, also had himself a great few days at the combine, raising his stock as one of the top running backs in the draft as well.

Both Price and Loe did something that was surprising to anyone who isn't familiar with how Notre Dame players are built. Out of all the tailbacks, Love and Price were two of three players who, even after finishing their workouts, ran extra routes in front of the NFL scouts.

Notre Dame players are simply built differently, and Price and Love are perfect examples of that. Both players want their NFL dreams back and are willing to do whatever they have to in order to get them.

Jadarian Price proved only Jeremiyah Love stands before him in the running back draft class

No one is touching Jeremiyah Love for that top spot in the running back draft class, but Jadarian Price is used to being behind Love. While Love was the main back for the Irish the last two years, Price played a large role in the success of the run game for Notre Dame. Love and Price were excellent counterparts to each other and really made the Notre Dame run game a scary thing.

Now that they will go their separate ways into the NFL, Price has a chance to make a name for himself as a featured back, and he did the first part of that in the NFL Combine. Price made it known in his media availability that he can be the guy to shoulder the weight of a run game for an NFL team, and he is only getting better.

Price not only can contribute heavily in the run game, but he is also a factor on special teams, which adds something extra to his resume when the draft rolls around. Price is willing to do whatever is needed for the team that takes a chance on him, and he could very well be the second-best running back in this year's NFL Draft.
