The Notre Dame football team seems to have a leg up in the pursuit of Kemon Spell. Now the program is adding another weapon to its arsenal.

Spell has already demonstrated that he's got a ton of respect for current Fighting Irish running back Jeremiyah Love. Coming to South Bend would guarantee that he follows in the Heisman contender's footsteps. And apparently, Spell joining the Fighting Irish would mean that Love's father, Jason, would have another reason to keep attending games.

Recruits peer recruiting other recruits is certainly nothing new. But when a current Notre Dame player's father gets involved, that seems significant. Especially when the current player is the caliber of Jeremiyah Love.

Jason Love, who has helped his son turn into one of the best running backs in the game, noticed that Spell emulated the younger Love during his most recent game, and the move clearly impressed him.

Spell did the Jeremiyah Love touchdown celebration after netting one of his own scores. And when the video of the top running back in the 2027 class doing that move started circulating on social media, Jason gave him a special shoutout.

"Looks like I will be attending ND games for another 4 years! Cmon young man the decision isn’t hard at all. Let’s Go ND!!!!"

Even with Love and Jadarian Price most likely gone after the 2025 season, the future of the Irish running back room looks like it's in a great place. The Notre Dame football team's staff is set to bring in Javian Osborne and Jonaz Walton in the 2026 recruiting class, two exciting talents who both have an argument as top ten running backs in the class. If Marcus Freeman and Co. are able to land Kemon Spell in 2027, then the program has the chance to create an outstanding pipeline with no end in sight.
