With just a few days until the College Football Playoff kicked off, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish had nothing on their plate (when it comes to games for this season, at least).

So, as 12 teams prepared for the playoffs, most Fighting Irish football players were enjoying their break, preparing for the NFL Draft, or looking forward to next year.

Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, who officially declared for the 2026 Draft, hadn't moved on from college football quite yet. The team's legendary running back took to social media to make his thoughts known on the playoffs, even though he wouldn't be taking the field.

"Texas A&M, [you know] da job," Love wrote on Instagram, followed by the emoji of the two praying hands.

Jeremiyah Love is pulling for the Aggies

Don't get it twisted, Love isn't exactly a fan of the Texas A&M Aggies, who were one of the two teams to beat Notre Dame during the regular season. The other team? The Miami Hurricanes, who the Aggies play in the first round of the playoffs.

The Hurricanes were decidedly picked for a spot in the playoffs over the Irish, despite Notre Dame being seeded ahead of them just a week earlier, and neither playing during Championship week. So, in turn, Love is clearly pulling for Texas A&M over Miami. It's quite simply all about revenge for the Fighting Irish.

More likely than not, Love isn't the only Irish player rooting for the Canes to have their postseason run cut short by the Aggies. Following Notre Dame's losses to Miami and Texas A&M, the Fighting Irish went on a 10-game running streak to finish the year 10-2.

However, its dominant run through a majority of the season wasn't enough to get Notre Dame into the CFP, and so, Love and the rest of his teammates will be watching from home.

The No. 7 Texas A&M Aggies and the No. 10 Miami Hurricanes are scheduled to kick off at noon ET on Saturday, Dec. 20, and the game will be broadcast on ABC and ESPN. The winner will move on to face the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.
