When the Notre Dame football team landed blue chip quarterback Teddy Jarrard, many, many other prospects took notice. That included legacy prospect Julius Jones Jr, who would be one of the biggest trophies of the 2027 class if Marcus Freeman and Co. could close the deal.
Jones is a 4-star receiver out of St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) who is rated as the No. 7 player in Florida, the No. 14 wide receiver, and the No. 68 player in the class of 2027 according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound wideout might be slight in stature, but his talent has some of the best programs in the country knocking ... nay pounding on his door.
Teddy Jarrard commit has Notre Dame football catching the eye of Julius Jones Jr.
Speaking to Kyle Kelly of On3, Jones made it clear he noticed the Notre Dame football team reeling in Jarrard and was impressed that Freeman was able to land him. He's also plenty impressed by the quarterback himself.

"Notre Dame got a dog. Glad he gets the chance to play at the next level. A great QB like him at a school makes most WR heads turn." 👀

"Notre Dame got a dog," Jones said of Jarrard. "Glad he gets the chance to play at the next level. A great QB like him at a school makes most WR heads turn."
So is he turning Jones' head? Time will tell but it can't hurt as programs like Florida, LSU and Oregon look like the front runners. Freeman and his staff would obviously love to get the son of one of the former Notre Dame and NFL running backs.

His dad rushed for 3,018 yards and 26 touchdowns for the Notre Dame football program. He then ran for 5,068 yards and 22 touchdowns in the National Football League.
