Spring football brings so many things to every college football fan. It brings an insight to what is happening within the program, can be some football to watch to hold fans over until the fall, and also hype up fans for what is to come for each team the next season.
For Notre Dame, there are many things fans are watching after the 2025 season came to an end in a way no one saw coming. It seemed like a lock that the Irish would be in the College Football Playoff with the rankings, but a curveball in the bracket reveal had Notre Dame on the outside, thus ending their season after opting out of a bowl game.
The Irish are determined to take their season and not leave it in the hands of the committee again in 2026. It is clear that the work Notre Dame is doing in spring ball right now means something special is coming next season, especially on the offense.
The Notre Dame offense is going through a major change with running back Jeremiyah Love heading to the NFL. Love was a consistent source of offense for the Irish, and now everything will change. Head coach Marcus Freeman planned for this, though, going to the transfer portal and bringing in wide receiver talent, more specifically, Myland Graham from Ohio State.
Graham took some time to get going in spring ball, but a recent video of quarterback CJ Carr throwing an absolute dime to Graham proves that this connection will be strong in 2026.

Probably happening a lot. Graham has been outstanding this spring. pic.twitter.com/Lww45nJhcV
Carr is going to have to take a lot of the offense on his shoulders in 2026, mainly in the passing game. Without Love running the ball, all eyes will be on Carr, and he certainly has the talent around him to succeed.
Not only does Carr have Graham, who is proving to be a great receiving threat, but he also has returning WR Jordain Faison, as well as Ohio State transfer Quincy Porter. The tools are there for Carr to succeed, now it is bring all of this to the season in the fall.
