The Notre Dame Fighting Irish might have something to worry about with the Texas Longhorns and the College Football Playoffs. While most people believed that Steve Sarkisian's squad was officially eliminated with their third loss of the season, their win over No. 3 Texas A&M in pretty dominant fashion might have reignited the debate.
"I think we're absolutely a playoff team," Sarkisian said after the 27-17 win. "We just beat them by two scores. So, to me, that's a pretty impressive win, a pretty dominant win for our team that I don't know how many other teams can say they have wins like that on their schedule."
The debate will continue until at least Tuesday. Until then, Notre Dame Fighting Fans might be a bit nervous as they're just one slot ahead of what most people feel is the final at-large seed in the College Football Playoffs.
Marcus Freeman shares what he's most thankful for
With Thanksgiving this week and the Irish finishing off their regular season schedule, Marcus Freeman was asked what he's most thankful for these days. His answer was not exactly surprising.
"The chance to beat Stanford and retain the Legends Trophy, "being Notre Dame's head coach... This university, what it stands for and the people it impacts, I'm grateful for it."

- Riley Leonard could see his first action as an Indianapolis Colt on Sunday. While Daniel Jones is expected to start as usual, he's got a fractured fibula, and any play could be his last of the game, if not the season. Should he go down, the former Notre Dame quarterback could step up.
- Brian Kelly is still out of a job, but it looks like he's going to have plenty of money to wipe away his tears. After LSU initially tried to claim they were firing him for cause, the school admitted they didn't actually have a reason, and it looks like the former Irish coach will get his $54 million buyout.
- A four-goal second period by the #15/15 Boston College Eagles was too much to overcome for Notre Dame hockey Friday night as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish fell to the Eagles, 5-3, Friday afternoon. The loss dropped the hockey team to a frustrating 4-9-1 on the season.
