Former Notre Dame Fighting Irish quarterback and offensive coordinator Tommy Rees has his work cut out for him. Not only does he have to run an offense that is limited by the talent of its quarterbacks, but he also has to play watchdog to 3rd third-string quarterback that continues to get headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier this week, the Browns announced a change at quarterback, shifting Joe Flacco from starter to backup and Dillon Gabriel to starting QB. The changes did not include Shedeur Sanders, who is still 3rd string, and when he was asked about his feelings, he decided to show the lack of maturity that analysts have criticized him for.

And so Sanders met with reporters in the locker room. In response to every question, he smiled, moved his mouth, but didn't speak. It's the kind of thing people usually don't see from 3rd string quarterbacks because they understand they need to ingratiate themselves with the team and media. But as the former Notre Dame Fighting Irish OC knows, Sanders refuses to get out of his own way.

USC loses starting center for at least two games

During his weekly press conference, USC head coach Lincoln Riley announced that starting center Killian O'Connor. Will miss the Trojans' next two games at least.

The Irish are USC's next two games. In his place, J'Onre Reed will start at center for the Notre Dame rival. Reed's first action this season against Illinois was not good, to say the least.
