Was the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lacrosse team playing possum just to make the 2025 season more interesting? The team certainly has the kind of talent that it seems possible. And they’re total domination of Ohio State on Sunday makes it seem like it.

After an 8-4 regular season and a loss in the ACC tournament, the Irish rolled to a massive, blowout win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. They beat No. 4 seed Ohio State on Sunday by a whopping score of 15-6 to advance to the quarterfinals in Annapolis, Maryland, next Sunday.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will now take on the No. 5 seed Penn State. Ironically enough, both teams were schools the football team took on in the college football playoffs.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish find out how sweep it is

Shawn Stiffler’s squad needs to win as many games as possible from now until the end of the ACC tournament in order to secure an at-large bid in the NCAA Baseball Playoffs. So far so good on that front as they swept away Bowling Green in a three-game series this weekend.

Notre Dame is now 29-19 on the season and is 13-2 after they started 16-17 on the year. When they were struggling to get over .500, Stiffler’s job seemed to be in jeopardy. It now appears to be safe for another year as the Blue and Gold stare down a postseason bid.

Hannah Hidalgo’s big mistake

It’s been 10 months since Hannah Hidalgo shared a bigoted video posted by Candace Owens. After finally issuing an apology for resharing the post, it feels like not everyone is ok with the apology being so late.

The Notre Dame star is not having a great offseason. Hopefully her season goes better.

Marcus Freeman teeing up another win

Marcus Freeman has been on a roll for quite a while. As it turns out, he could be set to land yet another talented 4-star commit as wide receiver Brayden Robinson just announced he’s no longer visiting Ohio State.

The Buckeyes are having a bad weekend. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish could continue their big spring as Robinson is very good friends with Javian Osborne, one of ND’s latest commits at running back.
