Neither the Notre Dame baseball nor Notre Dame softball teams are having particularly good seasons. They've been especially bad in the ACC. Until Friday night.

Suddenly, the Irish are giant killers. Meanwhile, the Lacrosse team is looking to end a two-game losing streak after two weeks off.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish wins big

The Notre Dame baseball team came into Friday night with a 1-8 conference record. Then they went up against Florida State and blew out the Seminoles, 16-9. The softball team did it's part too.

They came into the night with a 2-7 record against the ACC and then logged a 4-3 win over the Virginia Cavaliers.

Lacrosse returns to play

After two straight National Titles, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lacrosse team has lost a little bit of its magic. In fact, after a 4-0 start to this season, they've dropped the last two games. And then they took two weeks off.

Hopefully, the Irish were able to use that time off to reload and regroup. They'll take on Duke on Saturday and need a win prettty badly for a number of different reasons. The program hasn't struggled like this in years. They need to right the ship.

Benjamin Morrison doesn't compete in Pro Day

Notre Dame Fighting Irish defensive back Benjamin Morrison is hoping to go in the first or second round of the NFL Draft. However, in order to do that he's going to have to convince NFL teams he's worth it. That's going to be harder after skipping the combine and Notre Dame's Pro Day.

Instead, the defensive back will host his own showcase, at some point, at a date he hasn't stated yet. That decision is certainly an interesting one for someone who was injured for parts of two straight seasons.
