In the Notre Dame football team's 27-24 loss to Miami, there were plenty of things the program showed that need to be fixed. But some things showed just enough positives that there's reason to get excited. Certain plays run by the offense are right at the top of the list. That includes a very nifty CJ Carr touchdown run, but it's more about what happened right before the snap that shows just how good this offense could be before too long.

The touchdown was a massive one. It tied the game after the Irish fell behind by two scores. And it showed that members of an offensive line that struggled for most of the game were starting to feel it.

Why Notre Dame fans should feel hopeful despite the Miami loss

A Twitter user who goes by Blow Trophy Ryan was the first to notice that offensive lineman Guerby Lambert knew exactly what was going to happen during Notre Dame football's final touchdown. He knew so well that he was confident in telling Carr before the snap. And then, he led Carr into the end zone for the tying score.

Right before the action started, Ryan noticed that Lambert briefly tapped his hip as if saying "follow me, and I'll get you there." Then, once the play began, Lambert did indeed circle and lay the key block that allowed Carr the room to find the end zone.

In the end, the Miami Hurricanes rallied and scored the winning field goal. The Notre Dame football team's offensive line also badly let the team down when they needed to keep tacklers off Carr the most in the game's final moments. But there was something about that play that should give fans hope for what's coming the rest of the season.
