Notre Dame football star's father says he'll be back next week

There's been some worry about several Notre Dame football stars heading into the Sugar Bowl.

While Notre Dame football faithful are worried about a couple of starting players’ injury status, there is at least one father who wants people to know his son is perfectly fine. Or at least he will be by the time the Irish have to play again.

Rylie Mills, Jeremiyah Love and Rocco Spindler all have fans a bit worried. Especially since the Blue and Gold are taking on a very good Georgia team, even if the Bulldogs have to go with their backup quarterback.

This weekend, Jeremiyah Love’s father, Jason took to social media to try and calm fans down. Those fans noticed that Love didn’t play much against Indiana and when he did and then came out of the game, he didn’t look quite right. The elder Love posted, “He has flu like symptoms and recovering! He will be 100% next week. Ohhhh My, it’s gonna get good. He’s just getting started!”

Notre Dame football gets good definitive news on Jeremiyah Love

Love had talked about not feeling well himself on Friday night. Freeman mentioned it as well, though Jason Love’s comments are seemingly the end of any discussion that there might have been something more at play.

It helped tha the Notre Dame football team didn’t really need love (outside of that 98 yard touchdown run) since they dominated the Indiana Hoosiers until Curt Cignetti’s squad scored a couple of garbage time scores. The Irish will definitely need Love when they class against Georgia on New Year’s Day night.
