The Notre Dame football team has locked down an official visit from one of the best prospects in the 2026 class in Khary Adams.

Now the Fighting Irish just have to find a way to fight off the best teams in the country to go from getting a visit to getting a commitment. The fight is entering a new stage for the consensus 4-star safety, but the the other teams that have landed an official visit means this one is likely to go all the way down to the wire.

On3’s Chad Simmons says that Adams has officially set five visits for the summer. The Notre Dame football team will be the fourth in a six week period. In addition to seeing what South Bend has to offer on June 13, Adams will start his visits with a trip to Auburn on May 16. On May 30, he’ll visit South Carolina, Penn State on June 6, and then Oregon on June 20.

Adams, a two-way prospect from Loyola Blakefield in Maryland put up some big numbers in his junior season, but projects to be a standout on the defensive side of the ball in college.

According to 247Sports, he’s ranked as the No. 38 overall player in the class and the No. 2 defensive back. He ran the ball 8 times for 32 yards, caught 34 passes for 562 yards and 6 touchdowns while racking up 43 tackles and 3 interceptions in 2024, according to Max Preps.

When Khary Adams makes a return trip to South Bend, it will be more to make sure that he has a good idea of what Notre Dame football has to offer. He’s already taken several unoffical trips to campus including last June and September.
