The Notre Dame football team is about to host one of the best wide receivers in the 2026 class. Here’s hoping they have better success in that recruiting cycle than they did for 2025.
Anyone who followed the wide receiver recruiting being done by the Fighting Irish saw them be among the favorites for some of the best wideouts in the class. However, one after another, they all went somewhere else. Can things change starting with Brayden Robinson?
The Notre Dame football team certainly hopes that Robinson can be a kind of way to “reverse the curse” for Marcus Freeman and company. It’s going to start with an official visit, though it’s clear the Golden Domers have some serious competition when it comes to getting his commitment.
Notre Dame football gets visit from 4-star wide receiver Brayden Robinson
Robinson, a 4-star prospect out of Red Oak, Texas recently talked to On3 and laid out his plans for his first three official visits.
Robinson plans to start the summer by hitting Miami on June 6. He’ll then head to Ohio State the weekend of June 13. Finally, after a couple of unofficial visits to South Bend, the wideout plans a return visit to Notre Dame on June 20.
It’s a massive first step for head coach Marcus Freeman and wide receiver coach Mike Brown. There are still several steps to go. Brayden Robinson has more than 40 total offers including from programs like Texas, Texas A&M University, LSU and Ohio State. SMU is also a player in his recruitment and it’s unlikely that he’ll sign with someone in December without an official visit to the ponies.
Notre Dame football has won a battle by securing an official visit from Robinson. Now it’s about closing the deal far better than they did last summer.
