Notre Dame defensive back Leonard Moore is well known as one of the best players in the sport. Fans and analysts alike expect him to have an absolutely massive 2026 season. For that season, Moore will appear as one of several featured athletes on the cover of EA Sports College Football 27, rather than as the sole cover star.
Ahead of next week's official reveal of the next editions of EA Sports College Football and Madden Football, the developers unveiled the covers for the special subscription the company will offer this year on the Xbox website. As has been the case with the deluxe editions of the game for a few years now, there isn't a single cover athlete; there are several. This year is no different as Moore joins others, including Indiana coach Curt Cignetti, who is front and center.
In the picture of EA Sports College Football 27, the Notre Dame star defensive back is included alongside Cignetti, Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney, USC quarterback Jayden Maiava, Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy, and Texas linebacker Colin Simmons.
It's hardly the first time that an Irish star made the cover. Jeremiyah Love and head coach Marcus Freeman were part of a massive collection of players for the College Football 26 deluxe edition cover. The fact that Leonard Moore is on the cover this time, all his Fighting Irish lonesome, is rather impressive.

Leonard Moore gives Notre Dame football another EA Sports College Football cover star
At the very least, it shows just how much Moore has impressed more than a few people around the sport. Unsurprisingly, most of the college football world is eagerly anticipating his impact during the upcoming season, and his inclusion on the cover is a testament to his rising profile.
Moore put together a 2025 season that made him one of the best in the sport. However, because of his youth, he still tended to run under the radar. His name is becoming more of a household name as the Notre Dame star steps into a long line of big names coming out of South Bend.
