Anyone who has seen Leonard Moore play knows he's one of the best in the business. The Notre Dame star has received plaudits since his true freshman season, not just from analysts and those who watch the sport. Guys who went up against Moore in games have nothing but good things to say about the way the cornerback plays. That includes former Indiana and future NFL wide receiver Elijah Sarratt.

Sarratt recently appeared on NFL analyst Kevin Clark's podcast where Clark asked him who the best player Sarratt played against in college was. It took the star wideout no time at all to arrive on Leonard Moore's name.

Notre Dame football's Leonard Moore gets high praise from star Indiana wide receiver

"I'll go... Leonard Moore from Notre Dame," Sarratt explained. "I played him when he was a freshman, and he impressed me a lot. Just being a longer DB, having the skills he had, he's going to be great."

Some would say Moore is already great. However, that Moore has so much playing time under his belt and still has room to grow, always raises eyebrows around the sport.

It's likely that Sarratt didn't want to go into detail on exactly when he faced off against the Notre Dame defensive back. The two went toe-to-toe in the first College Football Playoff game ever played in South Bend. In the 27-17 Figthing Irish win, Moore only had two tackles, but that was mostly because the Hoosiers stayed away from his side of the field.

Sarratt did get 4 catches in that contest, though he was held to 67 yards and was kept out of the endzone by Moore and his teammates.

Now the former Indiana wideout will wait and see where he goes in the NFL Draft. At least one mock draft has him teaming up with his college quarterback, on the Las Vegas Raiders, as a third-round selection.

Leonard Moore has to wait a bit longer as he's got some more college football to play. However, the Notre Dame star is already expected to be a very early-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
