Notre Dame might have missed out on a big offensive tackle prospect, Layton Von Brandt, but the Irish still qualify as being on a "heater" since the beginning of this month. Marcus Freeman and Co. are, in fact, in line to turn things around fast if everything goes well.

At least three other recruits could be pulling the trigger very soon. And when they do pull the trigger, the Fighting Irish look like they'll be the ones to haul in some big talent and keep rocketing up the recruiting class rankings.

Predicting Notre Dame football's next three commits after Layton Von Brandt's miss

Julius Jones Jr.

Julius Jones Jr. visited Notre Dame twice over the last few months, with the first trip coming last fall for the game against Texas A&M. His return visit took place on April 11, and by all accounts, he had a great time. In fact, being in South Bend had to feel like coming home again, considering how well-known his father, Julius Jones Sr., is in town.

While dad was a star running back, the Irish prospect is a top wide receiver. While there's still some very big programs coming hard after him, the consensus is starting to form around Notre Dame. It's not just because he's a legacy prospect. It's also because he's said nothing but great things about Marcus Freeman and Co.

On3's Steve Wiltfong joined the parade and entered a prediction for Jones to land in South Bend earlier this week. According to that site's RPM, the Irish are running away with it, and he may pull the trigger soon.

Brayden Parks

The Irish have had a pretty good run at defensive linemen of late, and they might be about to land another talented defensive tackle in the very near future. Brayden Parks has announced he's winding down his recruitment and will be picking his school soon.

It's no coincidence that, right about the time, the 4-star defender out of Chicago received a new prediction to land with Notre Dame. Once again, it was Wiltfong entering a prediction on Wednesday that joined other recruiting analysts who had already pegged Parks to South Bend.

Osani Gayles

Notre Dame has had some serious success of late, landing talented wide receivers. Could Osani Gayles join Julius Jones Jr as members of the Irish in the very near future? Earlier this month, the 4-star receiver out of IMG Academy named Freeman's squad among his final five while also confirming an official visit is on the schedule.

Granted, of the three prospects on this list, Gayles is the longest shot to make a call for any school in the very near future. The 5-foot-11 wide receiver has official visits set for all the final schools he's looking for, and he won't see South Bend again until the end of next month. Stanford will get the first OV on May 23, followed by Alabama on May 29, Washington on June 6, Tennessee on June 13, and then Notre Dame on June 20.
