The Notre Dame football team continues on its roll when it comes to getting some of the best recruits in the 2026 class into South Bend. Now it’s all about making sure they actually pull the trigger and commit to the Irish once they come to visit.

The good news here is that Notre Dame has forged a strong relationship with defensive back prospect Simeon Caldwell. They’ve had him in town more than a few times. And now they’re going to get an official visit in the summer, and after that, it’s possible he could indeed pull the trigger.

Earlier this week, Caldwell announced the teams he’s planning on taking visits to, both this spring and in the summer. He’ll be seeing what Notre Dame football has to offer yet again, from June 10 through June 12. It appears that will be his second to last official visit. Could he pull the trigger by the end of that month?

The consensus 4-star safety who is the 108th ranked player in the entire class according to On3’s industry rankings, is going to check out some of the best teams in the country over the next few months.

In addition to his June visit to South Bend, he’s also seeing Georgia on March 11, Michigan on March 22, Ohio State on March 29, then April 12 and finally June 20, USC on April 26, Miami on May 30 and USC on June 6.

Going only by those visits, it would certainly seem that the Buckeyes have the upper hand here. Two visits in the spring and then his final summer trip, the Irish do have  an in.

Earlier this spring, Caldwell talked about the value he knows a Notre Dame football career can have. He knows that a degree from the school stands out and can lead to all kind of post-playing days connections. They’re going to need to lean on that connection to fight off the best programs in the country.
