With two 2027 commits in the fold, the Notre Dame football team is pushing hard for a third in 4-star defensive back Jerry Outhouse.

While the name alone would be enough to catch college coaches' attention, the Texas native also has plenty of talent. Outhouse is the No. 11 corner and No. 19 player in Texas according to the Rivals Industry rankings. 247Sports has him rated a bit better with a No. 9 ranking in both categories and a Top 100 player overall.

Long story short, he's someone that the Notre Dame football team, as well as plenty of programs, want to get in on an official visit. The good news for the Fighting Irish is that it appears the 4-star corner is interested in seeing what South Bend has to offer.

"See how they are," Outhouse told Irish Sports Daily about what he'd be looking for if he took an official visit to Notre Dame. "What the game is like in the beginning, the warmups, all of that. How they connect, how they get crunked before the games and see how they coach when they're down or when they're up. And the atmosphere around, how the fans are."

Outhouse has a busy fall full of visits planned, but what schools will get those visits and when hasn't been laid out yet. Earlier this month, the defensive back released a Top 15. His current leaders include Notre Dame, Oregon, TCU, Georgia, Nebraska, Miami, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, SMU, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Arizona State, and Oklahoma.

It doesn't appear he's in a hurry to pare the list down either. He has said he'll go down to at least 10 before making a final decision next summer.

That gives Jerry Outhouse plenty of time to show what he can do for any team pursuing him. It also gives programs like the Notre Dame football team plenty of time to really make their case and win the battle.
