The Notre Dame football team has been on an incredible roll recruiting-wise of late. Four 2026 recruits have jumped into the boat in the last few weeks. Even better is that the recruits fill a range of needs.

Two defensive linemen in Ebenezer Ewetade and Rodney Dunham pulled the trigger first. Then it was time for offensive lineman Gregory Patrick and finally, wide receiver Bubba Frazier on Monday.

What’s even better than getting recognized by recruiting analysts for Notre Dame football’s recent wins? Getting recognized, and feared by opposing fans. That’s when you know things are really going well. And one of the top opposing superfans, a Twitter account by the name of Clemson Addict made it clear that the Fighting Irish are striking fear in the hearts of other fanbases on social media.

“Marcus Freeman getting 5 stars to Notre Dame is scary for the rest of us,” the account wrote. “Dude is a hell of a coach.”

“He’s who I want to replace dabo when he retires. Doubt it would happen though,” another Clemson fan wrote in response.

Some of the comments that were glowing about the Notre Dame head coach likely wouldn’t make Irish fans very happy but at the very least he’s getting a ton of notice.

“Marcus Freeman at a better job would be fun to watch,” another user wrote.

“Even despite some embarassing losses, the Freeman era ND teams have felt more athletic. They move like SEC teams move, especially on defense,” another added. “Even Kirby noticed.”

What makes the comments that sparked this conversation is that it late last week. In other words, it was before either Patrick or Frazier were members of the 2026 recruiting class for Notre Dame football. After some early worries about the most recent cycle, it’s clear the sleeping giant has awoken and is scaring the villagers.
