Notre Dame football is on a recruiting heater for the ages to open May with the latest conquest being a monster tight end carrying a name that fits his frame.

Titus Hawk might have been a bit under the radar for some Fighting Irish fans after ND lost a recruiting battle to Georgia over Jaxon Dollar. Still, Hawk, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs in at 210 pounds is the kind of guy who could absolutely keep the title of Tight End U safely in South Bend.

Titus Hawk gives Notre Dame football another major Tight End U recruiting win

Hawk announced his commitment to Notre Dame on Monday morning, just about a half hour after Colorado wide receiver Jackson Coleman pulled the trigger. Both of those commitments came just a few days after the Irish had another two-fer to open May.

On May Day, the Irish hauled in defensive lineman Aidan O'Neill and just a few hours later, they got their 2027 quarterback in Wonderful "Champ" Monds IV. Now Monds has two targets he'll be able to throw too when they all get on campus.

Hawk's build and physicality is already impressive, but what might be even more impressive than that, is he definitely has his head on straight as far as what a school like Notre Dame can give him.

“I thought it was awesome,” he told Irish Sports Daily. “I think it's great that when you come here, you also get a great education and you can get a great degree. It's not just football and getting to the next level. Obviously that's a goal, but that won't last you as long as all the other stuff will.”

Notre Dame football landed a multi-sport tight end with size and real upside

Anyone who thinks Titus Hawk being as tall as he is might slow him down a bit can be rest assured the man knows how to rack up yards. The 4-star prospect out of Choctaw, Oklahoma posted 31 catches for 644 yards (20.8 YPC) and 8 TD in his junior season. He also carried the ball 2 times for 37 yards and 1 TD. He's also a multi-sport star, playing basketball and baseball.

Even if the tight end focuses on football, it's clear that Notre Dame got a guy who could be a monster weapon in the 2027 season as it looks to continue adding onto its claim as Tight End U.
