Jaden Greathouse had a relatively quiet Week 1 for the Notre Dame football team, but he's making quite a bit of noise before things even get started in Week 3. The wide receiver, billed as a potential breakout star in 2025, spoke about his worries or lack thereof against Texas A&M, and Aggies fans took some of his comments as "fighting words."
Greathouse spoke about the SEC team's defensive backs and how he plans to approach them. In the process, he made comments that were certainly confident, but Aggies fans might believe they have a bit too much swagger considering the receiver didn't have a catch against Miami.
What Notre Dame football's Jaden Greathouse said about Texas A&M's secondary
"They got a lot of good athletes in their secondary," the Notre Dame football star said on Wednesday. "They like to get handsy a lot, that type of deal. But it shouldn't be anything that we can't handle."

Greathouse started his comments by complimenting the athletic ability of the guys he'll go up against on Saturday night. His compliment will be lost on Texas A&M players and backers who heard the rest, though. Talking about the defenders being handsy is just straightforward and factual. However, "nothing we can handle" is almost certainly going up in the visitors' locker room before the game.
Such is the way of things. Greathouse, who would love to break out this week, knows how his comments come across. He's a veteran receiver who has been in plenty of battles against top teams. He's battled against Texas A&M.
Some players don't believe in bulletin board material. Still, it's also a safe bet that if the Aggies somehow come into South Bend and leave with a win, Jaden Greathouse's comments will be front and center from opposing players as to why they got an extra boost to beat Notre Dame Football. That could give the Irish another reason not to let it happen.
