The Notre Dame football team is looking high and low for talent in the 2025 class. Even if that means going out and offering a student athlete whose brightest future might be in another sport.

On Friday, the Irish issued a brand new offer to Fort Wayne, Indiana safety Brand Logan. Logan is indeed someone who is considered under the radar in football circles as 247Sports is the only recruiting site that’s even given him a star rating.

That site has given Logan a 3-star rating that might be bolstered a bit by the fact that Notre Dame football is his latest offer. Football wise, he’s one of the only offers. Indiana and Iowa have also offered the safety but he’s been getting far more attention on the baseball side of things.

Notre Dame football offers Vanderbilt baseball commit

Brandon Logan is certainly still entertaining football offers, but it feels as though baseball might be where he ends up. He’s been offered and has already committed to the Vanderbilt Commodores. While they didn’t go as far as they usually did this year,

The outfielder is indeed one of the best baseball prospects in his class rating a 9.5 grade from Perfect Game. However, the Fighting Irish are hoping that he might decide he’d like to try out football as well.

Logan showed what he could do at the Irish Invasion camp and it’s clear the Notre Dame coaches liked what they saw.

It is of course possible that the Fighting Irish are uniquely suited for someone like Logan. The Notre Dame football team has a decent resume when it comes to multi-sport athletes. They routinely share players with the Lacrosse team, including up and coming wide receiver Jordan Faison. It’s certainly possible they could pitch the safety both sports if he comes to Notre Dame.
