While the pledge hasn't been given, the Notre Dame football team appears very close to landing one of the best LBers in the 2025 class.

Notre Dame football just wrapped up a massive recruiting weekend, and it looks like Marcus Freeman and company nailed it once again. In fact, coming out of the weekend, there is at least one of their top targets who is now projected by more than one recruiting analyst as leaning hard toward the Irish.

June was already setting up to be a massive month for the Fighting Irish. They have several weekends of big visits, with the Irish invasion being the biggest of the big in terms of the number of top-tier prospects in South Bend.

Madden Faraimo, a standout among the top tier prospects, is on the brink of making a significant commitment to Notre Dame football. His potential decision holds the promise of further elevating the team's already impressive status.

Notre Dame football in line to land big-time linebacker

On Sunday, On3’s Mike Singer was among the first analysts to claim that the 4-star linebacker is about to pull the trigger. He made a prediction that Faraimo would be a member of the Irish not long after his visit to South Bend wrapped up.

It’s here where I point out that the speed with which this prediction was made could hint that Faraimo did in fact, commit or is very, very close and is just waiting to make everything official at a later date. Two days later, earlier on Tuesday, 247 Sports Tom Loy put in his own prediction for the California native to move to Indiana in the near future.

Should the Irish get the commit, it would be quite the coup considering the level of competition. Ohio State, Washington and USC are just a few of the schools coming hard for the 6-foot-3, 230 pound ‘backer.

It’s also quite noteworthy that the Notre Dame football team are very close to convincing Madden Faraimo to leave the left coast. Watch this space as the week goes on.
