The Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team is already having a good week. Head coach Marcus Shrewsberry landed 4-star forward Brady Koehler on Monday.

Now it looks like he might land anther prospect. This one a 5-star recruit who could be the kind of program changing talent that sophomore guard Marcus Burton has been since arriving in South Bend.

Five-star forward Jalen Haralson is ready to make his college decision. He’ll be doing so at 7pm eastern on Wednesday night. And there are more than a few Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans who think that Haralson will pull the trigger for Shrewsberry’s crew.

A 6-foot-7 perimeter player at La Porte La Lumiere, Haralson currently ranks No. 14 according to 247Sports overall and will be deciding between a trio of finalists that includes Indiana, Michigan State and Notre Dame.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish standing out for five-star prospect

The Irish target coming off of a strong spring and summer on tour circuit. Playing in Nike's EYBL with the Indy Heat, Haralson put together impressive averages of 19.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

The forward is yet another of the in-state prospects that Shrewsberry has made a priority over the last year or two. While he hasn’t won every single one of the battles for these prospects, it seems like he’s positioning himself well for Haralson.

NDInsider analyst Tom Noie is one of many who believe the Blue and Gold have a real shot. In fact, he took to Twitter to not long after Haralson’s commit date was revealed. Noie said he believes it’s going to come to either the Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team or Indiana. Michigan State seems to be the odd man out.
