The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are continuing to look like a team that could absolutely defend its national championship from a season ago. The LAX squad will play on Sunday against the Duke Blue Devils in the ACC championship and then gear up for the NCAA Tournament.

Interestingly enough, even when they won the title last year, they didn't win the ACC. For that reason, there's a chance to be even better this year than last. The Irish have won two ACC titles in its previous six appearances, winning the 2014 and 2018 championships.

The Fighting Irish have now advanced to the title game in five of the last seven ACC Tournaments. In order to win it this year, they'll need to continue the dominance they've had of late against Duke. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have won each of the last five meetings and six of the last seven dating back to the 2021 season.

That's actually a pretty massive change from back in the day. With that 6-1 stretch, they've managed to tie the Blue Devils in the overrall series, 16-16. Sunday's match will be the tiebreaker.

While the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have struggled at times this season, they're playing very good baseball of late. In fact, their 15-8 win over Pittsburgh on Saturday has them in line to not only win the series on Sunday, but also means they've won 8 of their last 11.

Should they win on Sunday, it will mean a third straight conference series win. At the very least, it seems like they're playing very well as we get closer to the ACC tournament that starts on May 21. Perhaps they can make some noise.

Cam Hart might have had to wait longer than anyone expected to get the call from the NFL on draft day, but there's very little doubt he's going to be one heck of an NFL player.

Now the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have released a behind the scenes video, looking at the star defensive back's fight to make the pros. It's something definitely worth taking a moment to watch.
