Notre Dame Fighting Irish legend Lou Holtz is still largely beloved in South Bend. However, it doesn't appear he's a huge fan of what the college football world, or really the world has become.
Holtz has been a larger presence on Twitter lately. That could be a good thing as he does have wisdom he could impart. However, his latest rant comes off a little more than "old man yells at cloud."
It's pretty clear that he's not a fan of NIL or the trasnfer portal. However, his latest take on Twitter doesn't take those things on specificlaly. Instead he just tags all players today as selfish.
"Whatβs the difference between athletes today and 40 years ago?" he wrote on Twitter. "Today, they all talk about their rights and privileges. 40 years ago, we talked about our duties and responsibilities!"

It is officially Blue-Gold gameday. Once this game gets played, the Irish will go back to waiting until the fall. This is the time to get to watch some of the newbies on the Notre Dame Football squad show what they can do. And the draft that took place before the game will certainly make this more interesting than normal spring games.
I am very proud and excited to announce that I will be transferring to the University of Notre Dame. I'd like to thank Mercyhurst for the last 2 years of my life and I am so grateful for the memories and friendships that Mercyhurst has given me. #goirish βοΈ pic.twitter.com/F8QhmOnhJJ

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey team is rebuilding its roster for next season and step one for that is getting itself a new goalie. It turns out that they're going to try it out with Owen Say, a goalie who played the last few seasons with Mercyhurst.
Granted, Mercyhurst wasn't exactly ... good the last two years but perhaps a change of scenery can help Say. It's not as though the Notre Dame Fighting Irish have been juggernauts either of late.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are on the hunt for a punter after Bryce McFerson entered the portal. Former Arkansas punter Max Fletcher is available. It's a safe bet that Marcus Freeman and company are going to be going after him.
