Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the verge of another massive commit
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish basketball team is on a run recruiting-wise, and you just don’t see that often from a team that failed to post a winning record the year prior. However, Micah Shrewsberry is working some serious magic these days.
If you weren’t content with the three massive commitments Shrewsberry picked up last week, it’s possible you won’t have to wait long to add another one. Some recruiting analysts believe Notre Dame is about to add a legit big man to its 2025 class in the very near future.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish already added Ryder Frost, Brady Koehlers and Jalan Haralson to the mix last week. Now it looks like they could be dipping into the state of North Dakota to pull 6-foot-11 center Tommy Ahneman to South Bend.
ND has been among the top contenders for the 3-star prospect for a while now, but things have heated up in the last few days. On Sunday, Jamie Shaw added another analyst prediction on On3, that now has Shrewsberry’s crew with an 87 percent chance of a commitment.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish continue recruiting hot streak
Should this trend hold out and Ahmenan is the fourth commitment to the Irish in the last couple of weeks, it would mean Notre Dame stole him away from three Big Ten schools.
Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska have all been chasing the big man hard. He just recently took a visit to the Huskers that had some in Lincoln feeling quite good about.
This kind of run can only help the Notre Dame Fighting Irish recruiting heading into the regular season. Now they just need to close the deal.
