There has been no more prominent soap opera for Notre Dame football this spring and summer than “will Deuce Knight flip?” Even when the 4-star quarterback commit has said that he’s committed to the Fighting Irish, there have been whispers he was about not to be.

However, the gunslinger, who might be one of the most impressive recruits Marcus Freeman and his crew have landed during their time in South Bend, should be believed. His latest comments really leave no doubt.

Deuce Knight is sticking with Notre Dame football. He’s going to sign on the dotted line and he’s going to be one of the biggest gets of the 2025 class. Especially because of how hard other teams have come after him to no avail.

Notre Dame football locks down QB commit once and for all

“At the end of the day,” Knight told On3 “I feel like it's business, so I don’t want to shut anything down. But I’m going to Notre Dame.”

The “it’s a business” comment is something the quarterback has said before. In fact, that comment is one of the reasons the soap opera kicked into high gear. He didn’t say he was shutting things down and that made some feel as though he was on his way.

There’s one other thing he said that really seals the deal. After having previously said he might take an official visit to Ole Miss. Knight has now said that’s not happening.

While he won’t specifically say he’s shutting things down. He is for all intents and purposes. He’s making it clear that after all the drama, the soap opera really is at an end. While still not officially a signee for Notre Dame football until December, and Marcus Freeman has yet another signature commit on his ledger.
