Notre Dame football commit keeps pressure on top receiver prospect
One of the most impressive aspects of the Notre Dame football recruiting machine is that the coaches aren’t always the team’s best weapons. When it comes to quarterback commit Deuce Knight, he’s been a vocal and dependable peer recruiter.
Now the 2025 quarterback commit, who has hung tough with Notre Dame football while one SEC school after another comes calling, has zeroed in on his next project. Should he be able to help land this one, it would be a massive, massive get.
The Notre Dame football program started another recruiting push over the weekend with the Pot of Gold Day and while Deuce’s outreach to wide receiver Derek Meadows wasn’t officially a part of that, it looks like the quarterback is building on that momentum.
Knight took to social media earlier this week with a simple call to action to the 4-star receiver.
“The missing piece to the puzzle,” Knight wrote, while tagging Meadows.
Notre Dame football using peer recruiting as secret weapon again
It’s worth noting that the Notre Dame football team’s coaching staff has been doing a good job in the pursuit of Meadows as well. He’s a 4-star receiver out of Bishop Gorman who recruiting experts believe has been leaning towards the Fighting Irish for a little while now.
It’s possible that what Deuce Knight is doing these days is just the cherry on top of the sundae. If you’re a top of the line wide receiver in the 2025 class, don’t you want one of the best quarterbacks around to give you a shout out?
This is where Knight doing his peer recruiting comes in handy in a big way. The Golden Domers have laid the groundwork, now the 5-star quarterback can come in and help Derek Meadows slam the door shut on any competition.
