Even if this Notre Dame football game wasn’t the opening game of the season, a title against Texas A&M would make it a very important one. This is the kind of game that will set the mood for the rest of the season.

If Riley Leonard and company can come out with a win, it’s possible they could go on a real roll. Should they struggle, then there is a chance things could go south fast. That’s why Irish fans are going to be tuning in tonight. But some aren’t leaving it up to watching the game on television. Some are making the trip down to Texas.

In fact, if one prominent member of the media is to believed, a lot more than “some” Notre Dame football fans have made the trip down there. In fact, it’s possible that when the game kicks off, Texas A&M fans might be surprised how much green there is in Kyle Field.

Former Nebraska football defender, Will Compton who is now a content creator for Barstool Sports is apparently hanging out in College Station. And he was more than a little surprised by how many Irish fans he was running across.

Notre Dame football fans invade College Station ahead of Saturday’s game

“The Irish fans are all over the place here in College Station,” Compton wrote on Twitter earlier on Saturday.

With the kick off just over an hour away, we’re going to get to see just what that invasion looks like. But Notre Dame football fans have made their presence known clearly.
