The Notre Dame football team hosted a ton of talent for its Irish Invasion camp. Several new targets emerged with offers from Marcus Freeman and company. However, one of the top safety targets in the country is a little different for reasons beyond his talent.

Bralan Womack has offers from plenty of Power 4 teams. He’s the best safety recruit in the 2026 class. And ofter the Fighting Irish gave him an offer, at least on recruiting analyst believes he’s theirs to lose.

There’s obviously a long way to go before the Golden Domers can close the deal with Womack. He’s got years, not months before he can sign a letter of intent. There’s going to be work to do, but ND has made up ground quickly.

Notre Dame football looks to land nation’s top safety

247Sports analyst Tom Loy put in a Crystal Ball for Womack to end up in South Bend just hours after he got an official offer from the Irish head coach. When he talked to the site after the camp, it became clear just why ND is so high on the list already.

“You know, football is going to deflate one day and when it does, you need to have something to look forward to,” Womack told the site. “So, when you're at a place like Notre Dame and when you have that degree in your hands, whatever you apply for after football, that degree immediately goes to the top of the sheet, just because it's Notre Dame.”

Loy’s prediction likely comes because of the way that Womack answered the question as to whether the Fighting Irish shot to the top of the list after the offer. Eric Thomas, the man who talked to the 4-star safety out of Brandon, Mississippi said Womack was beaming when he answered.

“They're up there, they're definitely up there. I'm just extremely blessed. I can't even put it into words, but it's just the offer that I've worked very hard for, knowing that I had the opportunity.”

Notre Dame football being the offer the safety had been looking for definitely seems to show he’s about to pull the trigger. The craziest part of all this is that if he does commit to the Fighting Irish, they’ll be pulling him away from Ole Miss
