The Notre Dame football team is going into its bye week with a considerably more upbeat perspective than it had a week ago. There’s the 31-24 win over a ranked Louisville

There’s the fact that it appears they’re back in the conversation about a college football playoff spot thanks to the win and their rise to No. 14 in the polls. And they get to rest and recuperate and hopefully get a couple of banged up players back in time to start the second half of their season in two weeks.

The Notre Dame football team also appears to be having some success on the recruiting trial. In fact, it looks like the Irish could be getting a commitment any day now from Sullivan Garvin.

Garvin got an offer from Marcus Freeman and company last week. On3 analysts now believe that the Michigan center is a heavy lean towards the Irish.

Notre Dame football on verge of landing offensive line commit

Despite Garvin also having offers from Indiana, Minnesota and several Mid-American Conference programs, offensive line coach Joe Rudolph clearly presented a convincing case to him because Tom Loy and Allen Trieu of 247Sports have also both made crystal ball predictions for the Blue and Gold.

The offer from the Irish was big enough that the entire family wanted to celebrate. That include Sullivan’s mom posting the big moment on social media when he told her he’d gotten an offer to play for Notre Dame football once he was ready for college.
