Notre Dame football: Mike Denbrock rated near the top OC in the sport
One of the reasons there is so much excitement about Notre Dame football this coming season is because of new offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock. The former Irish and LSU assistant came back this winter, looking to finish the mission he started under Brian Kelly.
He’s got a reputation as a QB whisperer especially, and that’s got people excited about what he can do for Riley Leonard. It’s also got people excited to see what Leonard in turn can do with the weapons he and Denbrock have around him.
Notre Dame football offensive coordinator among best in the sport
It’s not just Notre Dame football fans that think the Denbrock hire was an insanely good one. There’s people all over college football who are quite impressed with what Denbrock could do with the offensive weapons ready to go off in South Bend this fall.
Count Twitter account Big Game Boomer among those who thinks Mike Denbrock is among the best in the game. In fact, he believes he’s almost the best offensive coordinator in college football.
The only guy higher on the social media personality’s list? Oregon’s Will Stein. Considering how potent the Ducks’ attack has been the last few years, that’s hardly a shock.
Mike Denbrock sticks out thanks to his latest tutelage
Even Stein doesn’t have the accomplishment that Denbrock does. He doesn’t have a guy who just won the Heisman.
That Heisman at LSU is just one of the reasons Golden Domer fans are excited to see what Denbrock can do at the helm of an offense that has Riley Leonard, Kris Mitchell, Mitchell Evans, Beaux Collins and a host of running backs who could all be deadly.
Notre Dame football fans are excited to see what Mike Denbrock can do. If Big Game Boomer is right, the rest of the sport better watch out.
