While there are no Notre Dame football players who got 99 ratings in EA Sports College Football 25, there are four players that made the Top 100. And as it turns out, the four who are in the Top 100 are about who you would think they’d be.

The quartet of Irish players were announced as part of Electronic Arts’ latest reveal on Wednesday morning. While there might have been some hope that someone like Riley Leoanrd would get a very high rating, he did not make the cut.

Those who did make the Top 100 also tend to be the ones who are thought to be right at the top of the list for who will be among the top draft picks next spring. It also should surprise any Notre Dame football fans that defense leads the way. In fact, three of the four are on the defensive side of the ball.

Right at the top of the list is Benjamin Morrison. While he might miss the start of the regular season, he can start shutting down opposing offenses immediately in EA Sports College Football 25. And he’s set up to do just that.

Morrison sports a 94 rating and is joined in the backfield by Xavier Watts who boasts a 92 rating. The virtual secondary is getting some help up front as well as Howard Cross carries a 90 overall rating.

Finally, there’s been a lot of talk about how good a season Mitchell Evans is going to have this year. In EA Sports College Football 25, he has a chance to dominate.

Evans has a 90 overall, as well as an 83 speed, an 86 acceleration and an 84 jump rating. It appears he’s going to be a heck of a target for virtual Riley Leonard, CJ Car, or Steve Angeli, or whoever you decide to start for Notre Dame football, in the game.
