Is Trystan Haynes, a top Texas CB prospect, about to commit to Notre Dame football? The wait may soon be over.

The Notre Dame Football team is one of the hottest teams in the country when it comes to recruiting, even if they haven’t gotten a commitment in a few weeks. It seems like sooner or later that dam is going to break. It might even break in the next day or two.

When the dam does break, the Notre Dame Football team could get its first commit since right after Pot of Gold Day. When the dam breaks it could be broken by a talented Texas cornerback prospect who is planning a visit to South Bend this weekend.

Trystan Haynes is the latest 4-star prospect who could end up being a Notre Dame Football commit any minute now. He’s the latest prospect that has shown some severe interest when talking to recruiting analysts to the point that Rivals’ Tyler James has officially entered a future case for Haynes to eventually be a member of the Fighting Irish.

Should the FutureCast prove accurate, it would be the culmination of what has been quite the quest for the Notre Dame Football team to lure one of the best defensive backs in his class away from the other Power schools that are interested.

There was a time when the Carl Albert product looked like he would almost certainly be a commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners. But things have definitely changed.

In speaking to Irish Breakdown, he made it clear what he’s hoping to see when he gets to South Bend.

“I'm excited to see how the players interact with each other and just the environment of the school,” he said. “It’s my first time so I’m really excited to experience everything.”

It appears to James, that once he gets to see what Notre Dame has to offer in that department and others, Trystan Haynes is going to pull the trigger.
