Notre Dame football could be near reeling in top OL target
The Notre Dame football team already has one of the best recruiting classes in the 2025 cycle. Later this week, its commitment ranks could get even better. One has to wonder just how good the group could be, by the time signing day rolls around for the class next December.
The next step in securing one of the best Notre Dame football recruiting classes of this generation might be landing offensive lineman Will Black. Fighting Irish fans will find out whether or not they're getting another offensive lineman on December 21. Just one day after the 2024 signing period kicks off.
Black announced on social media that he'll be picking his school on Thursday. Black made it clear that he already knows who he is picking. But the rest of us get to sit on pins and needles waiting until that day to find out where the 6-foot-7, 285 pound lineman will go.
In order for Notre Dame football to land Black, they're going to have to fight off some of the best teams in the countyr. The Irish are going head-to-head with squads like Alabama, Penn State, Michigan and Penn State.
Notre Dame football recruiting has a chance to land another commitment
While the Tide, Wolverines and Nittany Lions are certainly going to be hard to fight off, it certainly seems like the Fighting Irish have the inside track. Black camped in South Bend this summer, and it was there that he earned an offer from Notre Dame.
Since then, Black has kept a close relationship with the Notre Dame football staff and has spoken glowingly about offensive line coach Joe Rudolph and the job the 3-star prospect believes Rudolph is doing with the Golden Domers.
There is one sign above all others that Notre Dame football followers should be excited about. Will Black was in town this past weekend. Considering that he won't be able to sign until next December, the timing of his announcement doesn't seem like a coincidence.
