Forgive us for stating the obvious, but Marcus Freeman is on an absolute heater when it comes to landing elite prospects. In recent days, several commitments have come in for him, of course including the one of 5-star safety Joey O'Brien on Friday.
Only a few hours earlier, 4-star cornerback Khary Adams also announced in favor of Notre Dame. Could highly-touted safety Nick Reddish be the next stud defensive back to give Freeman the news he's been hoping for? Things appear to be trending in that direction, with a recent social media post from the '26 target sure having a lot of people talking:

Safety Nick Reddish would be a fantastic get for Notre Dame football
Reddish just took his official visit to South Bend starting on June 12 and things were pretty darn amazing for him. He's got strong interest in Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Virginia Tech - he's taken official visits to all of those schools.
However, the Irish are the clear favorites and a decision is expected from him soon. Reddish doesn't have any other OVs on the schedule, so Notre Dame was able to make the last impression on him while he was meeting with a staff on campus.
Will this prove to make the difference for the Irish? That's what fans are hoping will be the case. According to the 247Sports Composite, Reddish is ranked three stars, the No. 57 safety in the country and the No. 30 prospect overall from North Carolina for the 2026 class.
He has picked up more than 20 offers throughout his recruitment, but only a handful of programs are standing out to him right now. Notre Dame is of course among his finalists and with a decision coming in the near future, plenty of signs are pointing in the direction of him picking ND. We should know for sure soon, but at this point it'd be a giant surprise if Freeman doesn't win this recruiting battle.
