Top PFF offensive performers for the Notre Dame football team in the win over USC
It was mostly a very good day for the Notre Dame football team when they took on the USC Trojans. The 49-35 victory for the Irish means that they are in the playoffs and that they are almost certainly hosting a first round game.
There was quite a bit of fireworks in the game since it was the highest scoring contest of the entire series. Of course, not everything was perfect, considering there were times when Al Golden’s defense struggled in ways it hadn’t all year.
With all the great offensive performances for Notre Dame football and the few defensive stars who managed to log their best plays when it mattered most, there are a few offensive players who stood out from the rest.
Best PFF Notre Dame football offensive performances
Aamil Wagner
Wagner stood up big, not only posting the best offensive rating on the team in 61 snaps, but his best rating of the season. In those 61 snaps, he wasn’t credited with a single pressure or hurry. Overall he finished with a 90.1 rating.
Riley Leonard
Not exactly a surprise that the Notre Dame star quarterback put up a big rating. Leonard finished with an 85.7 rating thanks to completing 17 of 22 passes for 155 yards and 2 TDs. He did throw a pick, but it’s crazy to think what his rating would be if he didn’t. He added to that number thanks to 50 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown.
Jeremiyah Love
Love had to leave the game early, not but before he set the Notre Dame football school record for touchdowns in consecutive games with 12. He finished with 13 carries for 99 yards and a TD. He also had 3 catches for 38 yards.
