Now that the college baseball season is officially underway, its time to start thinking about how all of this will wrap up. It will end with the College World Series, where a tournament that starts with 64 teams will eventually whittle it’s way through regionals and super regionals until eight teams head to Omaha

So when does the College World Series start? It starts around the same time every year. It usually kicks off on Friday in the middle of June. This year, the College World Series starts on June 13 and will run through June 22 or 23, depending on how the games all play out.

When does the College World Series start?

As has been the case for quite a few years now, when the College World Series does start, it will kick off in Omaha and will be quite the event. There will be many teams that are vying for it and there will almost certainly be at least one team that is a bit of an upstart.

In 2024, the answer to the question when does the College World Series start? Was just one day earlier than it will this year. First pitch for the festivities took place on June 14 and ran one day later.

This is the official end of the college baseball season and, because of the way the school year works, it’s also the end of the college sports season until football starts it all back up again in late August and/or early September.

So the real answer to the question, when does the College World Series start? Is that it starts when the sports season is coming to an end in the college ranks.
