When talking about who has the most wins at CWS, the answer probably isn’t all that surprising for those who have paid attention to college baseball really at all. For decades there have been some Blue Bloods of the sport that stand out.
These Blue Bloods went long periods of time when they weren’t just dominant but were far more dominant than any other team in the sport. And because of that, they are the first to come to mind when looking at the kings of college baseball.
Who has the most wins at CWS?
The answer to this question can really be broken down into two categories. There are the team that have gone to the College World Series so much that they have won a ton of individual games. When talking about this topic, there is one team that stands out from the pack.
The Texas Longhorns have played in the most CWS games in the history of the event. They have 139 games played. The Longhorns have won 82 games, thereby posting a record of 82-57. That’s a rather impressive win percentage.
The other granddaddy of them all is one that Notre Dame fans know well. USC has the second most wins at the College World Series with 74. They also hold the record for most College World Series titles.
USC has a whopping 12 titles. The team was dominant in the middle of the 20th century with title wins in 1948, 1958, 1961, 1963, 1968, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1978, and then 1998.
LSU is second on the list with seven titles, in 1991, 1993, 1996-97, 2000, 2009, 2023. But the answer to who has the most wins at CWS is definitely the USC Trojans.
