We’re officially less than three months away from the College World Series. Teams, including the Notre Dame baseball team are all looking at heading to Omaha and adding another stop to the heartland to its resume. All of that brings up the question, Who has been to the College World Series the most?
Unfortunately, it’s not the Notre Dame baseball team. The Irish have had some good runs in their past. The went to the College World Series back in 2022 but they’ve only been there three times. That puts them in a tie with Nebraska, Wake Forest, Baylor, Duke and Georgia Tech.
Who has been to the College World Series the most?
When the College World Series starts on June 14, 2025, one of the teams who has been to the College World Series the most maybe be adding to their total. That’s because the program that has made the most trips to Omaha is having itself another dominant season.
The Texas Longhorns, who are 23-3 this year, holds the record for most appearances at the CWS. UT has been there a whopping 38 times. Their first appearance was in 1949 and their last was 2022. The same year the Notre Dame baseball team last went.
That 38 appearances is a good amount over the team with the second most appearances, the Miami Hurricanes. It doesn’t appear the ‘Canes are going to add to their number since they’re in the same boat as Notre Dame, right around the bottom of the ACC in 2025.
