Notre Dame has landed verbal commitments from 17 prospects in the 2015 class. It is unclear how many scholarships the Irish have left. Currently, Notre Dame would have 85 players on scholarship in 2015. So, in order to land more players, Notre Dame will have to cut into its 5th year candidates. This may happen naturally. Players like DaVaris Daniels and KeiVarae Russell are likely to head to the NFL with eligibility remaining.

The 3rd player on the top remaining prospect board, Keisean Lucier-South, recently eliminated Notre Dame from contention when he named his Top 5. Therefore, a new name needed to be added to the list.

With limited scholarships available, Notre Dame is only going to pursue the best of the best. Who are these targets that have legitimate interest in Notre Dame? Here are the top 5 players remaining on the board:

Notre Dame has already landed 3 Wide Receivers in the 2015 class. St. Brown is not the most needed recruit. But, he definitely is one of the best available that has significant interest in Notre Dame.

More from Football Recruiting

St. Brown hails from Servite High School in Anaheim, California. At Servite High School, St. Brown collected 42 receptions for 725 yards and 6 touchdowns. St. Brown has a 4.0 GPA and speaks four languages. He holds 15 offers from FBS schools.

The 6’5″ 205 lbs. Wide Receiver only has one official visit scheduled. It is an October 4th visit to South Bend. Experts believe St. Brown will select Notre Dame over UCLA, USC and Stanford.
